How it all started…
A few months back, while browsing through a heap of parenting literature – loosely translated to multiple browser tabs and a disorganized pile of books – I stumbled upon a funny quote:
“Raising kids is like trying to fold a fitted sheet. No one really knows how, but somehow it gets done.”
While not entirely true, it did highlight the chaos and humor of parenthood! Much work goes behind the second part of the quote… a typical parenting experience begins with several practical aspects, supported by information gathered from a wide range of sources and support networks. Faced with the profound chaos of parenthood, we often reach out for advice, quest for connection, and camaraderie across this vast landscape!
Blessed with a wonderful daughter, my fatherhood journey has been a mix of excitement and apprehension. Realizing there’s no one-size-fits-all manual for being a dad, and with friends soon embarking on similar paths, I felt the need to create a space dedicated to fatherhood from a dad’s perspective.
Hence, The Fatherhood Diaries was born!
